Quiet mode for alerts (notifications)
2 min read
Quiet hours are set per-user in the Settings section. They apply to all your monitors at once. See details in Quiet hours - quiet notification mode.
This article focuses purely on what exactly happens during quiet mode:
- Telegram and email alerts are not sent, but the incident is saved. After quiet mode ends, you will see in the dashboard everything that happened overnight.
- If a monitor goes down during quiet mode and recovers to UP before morning, you receive one summary alert ("There was an outage during quiet mode: 02:14-02:38, duration 24 min").
- If a monitor goes down during quiet mode and stays DOWN until morning, the first normal alert arrives immediately after quiet hours end.
- Webhooks run always - quiet mode does not disable them. For programmatic integrations (PagerDuty), set up your own escalation logic.
