Payment and billing
Payments in ePulz.io are processed for us by the Polar.sh billing gateway. You pay once in a secure window, you receive a proper VAT invoice, and the subscription then renews on its own. In this article we will explain how you can pay, how an order works, how VAT is handled and where you can adjust or cancel your subscription at any time.
How you can pay
When placing an order, you can choose one of the following methods:
- By payment card - Visa, Mastercard, American Express
- By direct debit from a bank account within the EU (SEPA Direct Debit)
- Apple Pay or Google Pay - fast payment from your phone
Which methods you actually see depends on your country and on whether you choose a monthly or yearly subscription.
How an order works
- In the dashboard, open the Pricing section.
- Choose a plan (Standard, Pro or Business) and a period - monthly or yearly. A yearly subscription is more cost-effective.
- Click Subscribe.
- A secure payment window opens on the
polar.shpage. Your e-mail is already filled in. - Complete your billing details and choose how you want to pay.
- After a successful payment you return to ePulz.io and your plan is active right away.
Automatic subscription renewal
The subscription renews on its own - every month or once a year, depending on what you chose. A few days before renewal you will receive a reminder e-mail, and after a successful payment you get a new invoice. You don't have to think about anything and your monitoring never stops working.
If a payment fails (for example an expired card or insufficient funds in the account), we automatically send you a notification and the system will retry the payment over the next few days. During this time your service keeps running. If it still does not go through, the subscription is paused - but you can restart it again at any time with a single click.
Changing your card, plan and cancellation
You manage everything yourself through the Customer Portal. You will find your current plan and a link to the portal in the Subscription and invoices section:
- In the ePulz.io dashboard, click Subscription and invoices (or open
/dashboard/subscription). - Click Open Customer Portal.
- In the portal you can replace your card, move to a higher or lower plan, cancel the subscription or download any invoice.
When you move to a higher plan, you only pay the difference for the rest of the period. When moving to a lower plan, the cheaper plan only takes effect from the next billing period.
VAT and invoicing
Polar.sh itself adds the correct VAT rate based on the country you enter in your billing details. For Slovakia it is 23 %, for the Czech Republic 21 % and so on. Polar.sh is the official seller and remits the VAT for us directly in each EU country - you don't have to worry about it at all.
If you are a company with an assigned VAT registration number (in the EU it is called a VAT ID), enter it in the payment window in the Tax ID field. Polar.sh will verify it and issue the invoice without VAT - under the reverse charge mechanism.
