GeoIP - login countries and visitor countries

3 min read · Account security

Goal: See where logins to your account come from and detect suspicious geographic patterns.

Login history with GeoIP

Settings -> Security -> Login history. Each row shows:

  • Timestamp
  • IP address
  • Country (flag) and city (when available)
  • User agent (browser / OS)
  • Success / failure
  • 2FA used (yes / no)

New-country alert

A successful login from a country you've never logged in from before triggers an email alert (default behaviour). Disable in Settings if you travel often.

Country block list

Optionally restrict login to a list of allowed countries (e.g. only SK + CZ). Attempts from other countries are rejected with a 403, even with correct credentials.

GeoIP database

ePulz.io uses MaxMind GeoLite2-City, refreshed every 25 days. Accuracy is country-level > 99 %, city-level ~80 %.

Reviewing sessions

"Active sessions" tab shows currently logged-in browsers with last activity + GeoIP. Force-logout suspicious sessions with one click.
