User time zone
2 min read
Set your own time zone so that every timestamp in the dashboard, alerts and reports matches your location. The default is Europe/Bratislava.
Where to change it
- Open Settings
- Section Profile
- Field Time zone - a dropdown with every IANA zone (~600 entries, e.g.
Europe/Prague,America/New_York,Asia/Tokyo) - Pick one and save - the change takes effect immediately
What it affects
- Timestamps in the dashboard - "Last check", "Incident start", history charts
- Email and Telegram alerts - the timestamp in the message body
- Quiet hours - the window (e.g. 22:00-07:00) is applied in your TZ (see the Quiet hours guide)
- SLA reports - the date boundaries of months / quarters are calculated in your TZ
- Heartbeat schedule - cron interpretation stays in UTC (heartbeats are UTC-based), but the "next expected" display is shown in your TZ
Details and notes
- Daylight saving time is handled automatically - we use IANA zoneinfo (updated every year)
- Internally every timestamp in the database is stored in UTC. The TZ is applied only when rendering UI and emails.
- The default for new users is
Europe/Bratislava(because we are a Slovak SaaS). You can change it at any time.
Tip
If you travel and stay briefly in a different zone, do not change the TZ - keep your "home" zone so that reports and SLA calculations remain consistent. You will always understand what "yesterday's incident at 14:00" really means.
